Rental Price
The rental price is based on 10 sqm, which is calculated by adding your private room with a percentage of the common areas. Also included is full access to all indoor and outdoor campus facilities. Rent goes up 1.5 percent on March 1st.
Private space
You have your own private, furnished room complete with bed, linens, desk, chair, bookshelf and dresser.
Shared space
Category C housing is shared by 16 roommates. There are shared bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a common living area.
Campus life
In addition to basic amenities like wifi and laundry facilities, the Schlachtensee Studentendorf community of 900 students provides for a thriving social life where great friendships are often formed. Activities include a gym, a music room and our own social club. Students also enjoy our secluded outdoor activity area and garden.
Location
The Schlachtensee student residence is located directly on the beautiful lake Schlachtensee, which is one of the most popular places for swimming and outdoor sports in the summer. The Grunewald nature preserve is also nearby. The landmark buildings themselves have a colourful history and are protected as a historical heritage site. It is especially ideal for students of the Freie Universität (FU) Berlin which is the closest university. Downtown Berlin is a 45 minute train ride.
